the power of ions and electrons

MAGNETRON

The process utilizes the interaction of charged particles (ions and electrons) in a magnetic field. The ion stream generated is a result of bombarding the surface ionized gas particles (usually argon), carried out by applying voltage between the source and the carrier surfaces.

The Magnetron Line is used for applying thin layers to:

  • Low-emission glass/improving insulation performance in window glazing,

  • Reflective glass,

  • Venetian mirrors,

  • A vertical line using an immersion bath to apply a matte finish.

VIRUCIDAL GLASS

As a result of the project “Development of virucidal glass to combat the epidemiological threat” POIR.01.01.01-00-1184/20-00, a technology for obtaining virucidal glass capable of eliminating herpes viruses, influenza and coronavirus as well as bacteria (E.Coli) from flat glass surfaces was developed and implemented. The research was carried out according to the latest ISO 21702:2019 standard “Measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces”.

The product is made by applying a magnetron coating to the glass surface:

– not subjected to any chemical treatment, so-called smooth glass intended for hospital applications, such as glass shelves and shelves in public health care buildings; hospitals and clinics;

– chemically treated glass, i.e. NON-GLARE glass intended for use as monitors, information screens in the form of touch screens, information kiosks / information displays, dry-erase boards, interactive tables, ticket machines, etc.
